WeeklyLab
WeeklyLab is an open startup experiment platform that validates business items within 4 weeks.
VisitWeeklyVentures exists to absorb the first uncertain action — the moment when an idea, a technology, or a market opportunity hasn't yet found anyone willing to fully commit to it.
Founder Sangmin Simon Lee (이상민) spent four and a half years at the German-rooted VC AM Ventures, responsible for investments across Asia. Before that, while still in college, he started a football-shoe e-commerce that he later sold, and built Hi-Globe, Korea's first solar-energy subscription service.
The view from the investor seat was clear — good ideas and good technologies stalled at the first uncertainty. The view from the founder seat was the same. What to build, who to show, how to create the first signal — the weight of this first action was the heaviest.
We do not just build MVPs.
We create the first evidence. WeeklyVentures, 2026
In 2024, WeeklyVentures started to fill that gap. In the first year we built more than 20 products. SoulCanvas was acquired by a US company in April 2025. The second spin-off, Patenty.ai, is in operation as an AI solution that cuts patent attorneys' repetitive work. We also launched WeeklyLab, a community platform that opens this venture-creation movement to more people.
By late 2025, another change forced a redefinition. AI made building easier — but the first uncertainty of venture creation remained. So we redefined ourselves. Not as "a team that builds fast" but as a team that takes the first action that founders, corporates, researchers, and investors have not yet been able to absorb.
We prioritize evidence over opinion.
We don't wait for full conviction — we act to build it.
Each week we reduce one uncertainty and make one decision.
We don't cling to ideas. If there's no evidence, we stop. If there's a signal, we grow it.
We are operators, not advisors. We build, validate, and co-build directly.
We turn small market signals into venture-ready options.
